I heard a radio commercial yesterday from Motel 6, and he (Tom B?) was touting about your pet being welcome. Both Motel6 & Red Roof owned by Accor, but not sure just how company-wide the "welcome" is, or if I heard right. I know there's a Motel6 close to BWI.

Do you have to stay in that area?
Loews Annapolis hotel has special treatment for both pets and their owners begins with a personal note from the general manager with information on hotel pet services, local dog-walking routes, puppy pagers, and area pet services like veterinarians, pet shops, groomers, pet attractions, and pet-friendly restaurants. Amenities include place mats with food and water bowls, toys and treats.
Pet room service menus have been developed and approved by a licensed veterinarian and suggest proper nutrition to help pets deal with travel stress. Health conscious pets will be pleased to note the vegetarian entrées. A selection of dry and canned pet foods is also available.
The concierge desk is happy to arrange pet walking and pet sitting services, while the "Did You Forget ?" Closet includes many pet necessities, such as dog and cat beds, leashes, collars, pet toys and videos, litter boxes, and even pooper-scoopers.
Loews has also established standard cleaning procedures with specially-filtered vacuums to remove any pet allergens from the room.

I worked at various Holiday Inns years ago, when Kemmons Wilson, the founder of HI, was still in charge. He often wrote about pets being welcome - in fact, unless locally prohibited Inns had to have dog kennels too for travellers who didn't want the dog in the room.
As far as pets being welcomed, he often wrote about how pets never stole a TV, got drunk and trashed a room, burned cigarette holes in the furniture, etc. "Are Pets welcome at Holiday Inns? If they will vouch for YOU they are more than welcomed", he would conclude in response to "pet" inquiries. Too bad the hospitality corporations are now run by accountants instead of hoteliers.
