Red Rocks Amphitheater
We will be staying near Red Rocks Amphitheater for one night, end of May; however, there is no performance on that evening. We were impressed by the natural beauty of the amphitheater on a previous visit, and would like to take our daughter for a look on this trip. Does the amphitheater have open hours for visitors who just want to sit there and soak up atmosphere? If so, how late in the day will this be possible?

Yes, it is open to visitors, and it's a fun thing to do:

Make sure to leave time for the visitor's center there--lots of great information on the history--how it was built and by who. If you like music, there is a timeline that runs near the ceiling showing everyone who has ever played there and when--fascinating stuff!
It IS spectacular! I have been just once, but have tickets for a show in September.
