I'm thinking of a 4 day visit to Myrtle Beach in September...our very first time. I've heard that North Myrtle Beach is quieter, but close to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Looking for a beachfront facility with breakfast available. Would welcome all recommendations. Thanks!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Oceanfront, and liked it, but I don't think it is "north."

The Hampton Inn Oceanfront IS in a quieter area - and closer to Murrels Inlet and the great restaurants there. I love the hotel and location south of MB. It's a good choice.
