Recommended hotel reservation site for New York?
Can anyone recommend a good website for booking discount hotel rooms in NYC? I have used Hotels.com and Expedia in the past but they don't seem to be offering any serious discounts.
Or perhaps there are hardly any to have?

depending on the dates, there may not be any discounts available.
I would try quikbook.com, and priceline and/or hotwire.com.
It helps if you know the area you want to stay in and what the going rate are.

You can also look at travelzoo and kayak. But - if it's busy season - prices are sky hgh and there will be few discounts to be had.
When will you be here, how many of you are there, and what is your budget? Perhaps someone knows of a special deal.

Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster..thought I could be of some help.
I've been using resideo.com a lot lately -- if you go to resideo.com/us/newyork/newyork/ and click the "Check Availability" button, you can choose your dates, submit the form, then sort the results by price -- that'll give you the cheapest places first. You can then read about each hotel, view pics & reserve right online (after checking tripadvisor.com first).
Hope that helps...have a great trip!
