HI. I'm hoping that someone can help me with this one. I have a few other topics out there, but I'm hoping this title is easier to reply to. I am celebrating 15th anniversary with my husband in Miami in Nov. We have been here bf and stayed in south beach, but that was 13 yrs ago. We are now 43 and looking for something not as crazy/loud. Can anyone recommend any hotels in the miami beach area. I'm not too picky on location. It can be outskirts of sobe, miami beach, or sunny isles. I would however like the following in my hotel: some luxury, good pool, nice clean beach, restaurant on site, walking distance to shops and food!! Not sure if we will rent a car yet or not, so walking to stuff is important at this point. Our budget is about $300 a night. Trying to stay away from family vaca spot as our kiddies will be left at home
I've looked at Acqualina (which I think is way out of our price range) and Trump international (which looks very nice and doable BUT I don't know much about sunny isles..) Is sunny isles a bunch of older people, sleepy side of miami?? While we want R and R and some quite, after a few nights of that I'm sure we will be looking to go out and hit a bar or too. I looked at the W, but can't tell if it is too close to ocean drive action. Fountainblue?? Haven;t been there since it was remodeled? Is it really that great? The nightclub worries me, a lot of reviewss say you can hear the music at all hours. What about eden roc? HELP!! Thanks so much in advance!!

Acqualina is indeed wonderful and top notch, but it is in Sunny Isles and the area isn't too walkable.
Look into the St. Regis in Bal Harbour. Its got everything you want. Bal Harbour shops and restaurants just across the street.
In South Beach - W,Ritz Carlton, and Setai are peaceful while on property. They're blocks from Ocean Drive, but are still in the middle of the excitement.
Thank you for your reply, i appreciate it.
I think we are going to wind up at the W.
Mismi hotel prices have gone up, unfortunatelly I think both Setai and st regis are way over 300.?.
May be it is the dollar going down? It is a difficult answer but rates are going upup...
