Re: Sunterra Resorts Scottsdale Villa Mirage

If any of you have stayed here, can you tell me which of the one-bedroom suite you would stay in? I know that resorts often have "better" rooms (location/view/pool proximity) than others. I would like to call the resort and request your suggested room for my February 8-18 vacation. Thanks!

I have not stayed at the Villa Mirage, but my wife and I saw it during our last visit to the Phoenex area. It looks like a great place - you will LOVE the pool! Hope someone can help you with advice on which rooms are best. I understand your question, and know why you asked it. Anyone else...?

We stayed at Villa Mirage 2 years ago. There are different buildings available for those who check in on Fridays and those who check in on Sundays. We knew there was a resort being built next door and we wanted a room that was away from both the noise and the dust. We also wanted a top floor and a mountain view. At check-in we asked to see a site plan of the resort. The clerk worked with us to get a top floor, 2-BR unit that fit our requirements. We had room 332 MP [Master and Petite - both 1 BR and connecting studio]. It was quiet, overlooked a courtyard, and the mountains were visible in the distance. If you can get a room in this wing, you will be happy. Ours was a Sunday check-in. The pool is a short walk, but you can't see it or hear the noise. The pool at this resort is small and not one you necessarily want to be looking at from your balcony.

Patti,
This is exactly the reply I was looking for. Thanks so much! Just wondering why the conflicting reports on the pool? Your room evaluation, however, is what I was most interested in. I shall call the resort in advance with my request. Thanks again, I really appreciate your response.

Happy Trails,
Paul
