Has anyone stayed at the Ramada in Wichita? Some postings make it sound like crime is pretty high in Wichita and I"m wondering if I need to worry about this part of town. thanks

Be afraid, very afraid!
There is a Ramanda Inn on the east side of Wichita. I think this area is pretty safe. I would not worry any more than any city area. I shop in this part of town frequently.
There are a lot better places to stay. It's an older Ramada and in a congested area with a lot of strip malls -- not exactly the prettiest part of the city. Tell me what you're coming to Wichita to see or do and I'll suggest a place to stay... I've lived here for over 20 years.
