Frasca on Pearl Street (about 3 blocks east of the mall) is wonderful. http://www.frascafoodandwine.com/ Rhumba tends to be very noisy. The Med is fun--food not outstanding.

Yes, the Mediterranean is fun, haven't been to Frasca in a while, but I'd give Rhumba a miss.

We love the Med for a fun and funky atmosphere. Good food and service there. The patio is especially lively and fun.
Or, The Kitchen, right on Pearl Street, is more upscale and smaller, but still very "Boulder"-- i.e. organic and casual.

Across the street from The Med is Brasserie Ten Ten about which I've seen good reviews... http://www.brasserietenten.com/

I had lunch at Brasserie Ten Ten last month. Not impressed, actually. Overpriced, underserved. Just my opinion. For the money, I'd choose The Kitchen (bad name for a great and inventive place).
If you don't have to be near the Pearl Street mall, our all-time favorite is the restaurant at Chautauqua. It's an outdoor veranda, with amazing views of the Flatirons. Also a creative menu, great service. Amazing atmosphere and location.
