DC with Kids Trip Report

It would help if you gave us a little more info. What are your interests? Will you have a car to venture outside of Providence? Will you actually be staying in Providence or near PVD, (William F. Green Airport, which is actually in Warwick, a suburb of Providence)? What types of food do you like?
Here are a few suggestions:
1. Check out www.waterfire.org to see if it is going on during your scheduled dates.
2. The Federal Hill area of Providence has lots of Italian restaurants.
3. The East Side of Providence is where Brown U. and RI School of Design are located. It's a nice place to walk around -- lots of shops, restaurants, historical buildings.
4. A day trip to Newport would definitely be worth your while.
