The Courtyard is newer and is in a much better location. It's right in Downtown, with many restaurants within walking distance.
The Marriott is north of Downtown, and there's really nothing near it.
Definitely the Courtyard because it's in a better location. Providence Place Mall is across the street (Cheesecake Factory, Joe's American Bar & Grill, Napa Valley Grill, Smoky Bones, Fire & Ice, Uno's etc....)
Right next to the Courtyard is a Capital Grille, RiRa Irish Restaurnt/Pub, and Raphaels BarIstro.
A short walk/cab ride up to Fedral Hill...Italian Food Galore!
Courtyard is definitely the best choice..the regular Marriott is not in downtown and it's not that great anymore..
Hello,
Union Station Brewery is next door to the Courtyard. Great beer and even better food! I also recommend Federal Hill. Awesome Italian food!
Kenm
Federal Hill all the way. You could eat out every night for the rest of the year and find great food within a 2 mile radius of where you're staying. Nobody has food better than Providence. Fuggadaboutit.
