My daughter is getting married March 27th and has booked a flight to Maui on March 29th for her honeymoon. I wanted to let her use our Timeshare condos there, but when I spoke to the vacation planner in the office today she said everything is booked solid, but will put them on a wait list. The way our Timeshare works is you have so many points each year, and every 2 years you either use them or lose them. Many people will book a vacation to bank their points so they aren't lost but then as the time gets close, cancel and do something closer to home. My question is if the Timeshare doesn't work out I still want to get them somewhere nice, thats affordable fo me. Does anyone know of some wonderful inexpensive condo or B&B ? How about using Priceline for a resort? And what sites like Orbitz or Expedia have reservations that can be cancelled with no penalty's up to the last day or even a week in advance? Thanks in advance for any help.
