PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK WITH Buena Vista Vacation Management

My experience was at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek but this company also books this property. When I checked in with a reservation for Feb. 3-9, the Front Desk advised that the reservation was split into Feb. 3-8 in a 1 bedroom suite and Feb. 8-10 in a 2 bedroom suite. I was travelling alone so did not need the extra space and did not want to move for 1 night. The Front Desk said that the reservation had nothing to do with them and I was to speak to Buena Vista which I did. I spoke to Jason the following day and he advised that the reservation had been fixed and that I would not have to move. I asked if there was anyone I should talk to at the property and he gave me the names of 3 employees and the supervisor plus additional details about the property (where to go for the fireworks etc). On the night of the 5th I returned to my room with a message from Wyndham advising that my reservation had been cancelled and I needed to vacate the following morning. I spent approx. 4 hours the following day trying to track down Buena Vista and talking to the Wyndham Guest Services Manager Janos Jasko. Here is what I discovered:
The address Buena Vista provides on their website of #200-1420 Celebration Blvd (10 mins from the Wyndham property) is a virtual office…answers phones for them and collects their mail. The company that brought Buena Vista to this office is Asia–Davinci operating out of Salt Lake City Tel: 866-661-5588. They advise that they have now severed ties with Buena Vista because of suspicion of fraudulent activity. This Wyndham property is a timeshare management facility and therefore do not see any proceeds from the rental of any unit. The Wyndham hotels across the lake are operated independently which is why the Bonnet Creek property cannot help travelers like myself. Janos at Wyndham did contact me after I had moved with the following additional details: My original reservation was made up of 3 separate reservations – Feb. 3-6, Feb. 6-8, and Feb. 8-10. My reservation was reinstated on Feb. 6th at 11:32pm and then on Feb. 7th changed to another name. The Feb. 8-10 reservation was also cancelled. I can only guess that the criminals wanted to mitigate the bad optics of the reservation.
The timeshare system is complicated for those of us that are not involved and these men have managed to exploit a loophole that Janos is actively trying to close. Any person or persons that write anything in support of this company are part of this conspiracy to lull you into purchasing a package thru them. I have reported this to the Ocoee Police Department, 646 Ocoee Commerce Parkway, Ocoee, FL 34761, United States

Sorry this is too confusing ... you've contacted the police that should suffice.

Not knowing time share rules can be costly--upfront and down the line.

.WARNING!!! SCAM !!!! SCAM !!! as every one is saying this company is run by crooks and they will SCAM YOU. DO NOT reserve any properties with them. ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE PROBABLY MADE UP ! You will arrive at the resort and you will not have a reservation or find out the confirmation number is fake. Our reservation was with The Wyndham Santa Barbra in Pompano Beach FL. I called to verify just before leaving on our thrip to find out i,d been fraud. They are well aware at the front desk of this company with people showing up with fake reservations. You can call Wyndham Santa Barbra Supervisor Yanique Bryan 954-941-5566 and be told SORRY that they do not accept any reservations from this company. Wyndham says they are working to shut them down, but obviously not hard enough.

Buena Vista Vacation Management is definately a scam. I am working with the Attorney General's office in Florida to get them shut down, as they conned us out of $1200 too. I have located 20 other victims that were all defrauded just like me. DO NOT do business with Buena Vista Vacation management.

Paid , received confirmation, even talked to Buena Vista several times and Wyndham prior to trip amd everything was ok ;and arrived and confirmation was fake and had no room. Called Orange County Sheriffs. They are investigating. I am getting lawyers involved this week. Would like to get involved with your lawsuit. Please let me know asap. Thanks

Interesting thread, but logandog, I'm particularly interested in your two posts. Was that second one just missing quotation marks and was it something the company sent you? Did you do your stay as you said earlier you had booked? What happened?

When I first read your second post I thought you were speaking as a representative of Buena Vista Vacation Management.

It is true. Never book through BUENA VISTA MANAGEMENT COMPANY. I went to check in to the Wyndam Bonnet Creek timeshare and nothing was set up. Absolutely no reservation even after Buena Vista Management had sent endless confirmations via email.

I have a similar story. I booked a 2 bedroom condo last November for April 4-9, 2015. I received a phone call Friday 04/03/2015 at 5 pm from James who stated that there was an issue with my reservation and that he could not contact the condo owner. He asked how I wanted my refund that I would get Monday April 6, 2015. This did not happen. I have filed a dispute with my bank and a complaint with the Florida Attorney General. No one should go through this. And it angers me to see other postings today of similar situations. I hope karma takes a big bite!

To answer the question on a refund from from buena vista Management...I have received second deposit back and waiting on $300 from first payment. I called credit card co today for help with this fraud. They can reverse the charge if they have enough evidence. We were checking in 4/6/15 and this scam happened to another family that same day. It is unbelievable to me!

Angelia and Baltimore Mom, I'm curious. Neither of you have ever posted here before, but both registered and posted about this same issue on the same day. Where did you here about these posts on this website? We're they linked from another website?

Everything you say is true. We were just scammed by Buena Vista Vacation Management. They take your money and charge your credit card and never send the money or make a reservation for you at the chosen condo. We were to stay at Wyndham Sedona. We got there no RESERVATION, we slept in their lobby for it was 1 in the morning! BVVM doesn't answer their phones or emails. They know what they are doing. We have a claim into the Attorney Genrnals Office in Florida. They know about them, BEWARE.

But what a boon it is to Fodors. Six brand new posters registered here just to grind their axes about this one issue. I suppose they are finding Fodors by googling Buena Vista Vacation Management.
