Please help to plan 1 day in Newport

Jump to last reply

We (2 adult and 2 11 years olds) will arrive in Newport on Sunday 8/27 evening after visiting Mystic Seaport. We will stay on Goat Island for 1 night. I plan to see Touro sinagogue, do part of Cliff walk, see Breakers and stay on 2 beach for a few hours and than in the evening leave for Boston. We probably will be tired to do anything on Sunday evening, just catch shuttle from hotel and eat. How should I plan the next day? I was thinking to do Cliff walk in the morning when it's not so hot, then Breakers and sinagogue. Is parking at the Breakers free? How about parking near sinangogue? It's far to walk between those sites, right? Should I leave car at the hotel (we will pay for 1 night stay anyway) and use some kind of public transportation?
Thanks for the recommendations.
Mariya
