Please help, moving to Florida in 2 months, Apopka area
Hey Everyone,
I was hoping for some help. I will be moving to the Apopka area around August, just hoping for some suggestions on towns to live in or to stay away from. I have read a lot of people reviews from other people inquiring about moving to different places in Florida. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi FloridaMove. I work in Apopka and commute over from Clermont. But Apopka is a very livable area, with plenty of green space.
What are you looking for? Single family house? Apt? Condo? Lots of trees or next to shops & restaurants? Price range??

Hi there! Thank you so much for responding, we need to rent to start out, we were hoping to find a house to rent as we have a dog and a cat. Would rather not be in the heart of a city, maybe a little to the outskirts where it would be a little less crowded but mainly we are in the search to find a great safe place, and to find out where to stay away from.Would like to try to keep rent under 900$.

I do not as of yet, as we just sold our home a week ago, I have been applying to area hotels in which are hiring. I have a lot of experience as a supervisor at a high end hotel, so i have received responses back in the past we just were not sure of a move date at the time.

Apopka is a distance from most of Central Florida's high-end hotels. What is your main driver for choosing Apopka?
Staying under $900 is possible, although perhaps not so easy. I'll try to come back with some areas in a bit.

Here is a link to get you started: http://www.rentalhomesplus.com/searc...homes%20apopka
It should give you some idea plus local realtors you can discuss areas with.
I used to be in hotel management at a luxury convention hotel here, down in the International Drive area. That is one possible commute-to area (convention center/Universal/Seaworld/tourism), as well as the Disney area. Both would be a significant commute for you, and probably involve toll roads, from Apopka. Just fyi.

I had a hairdresser who's boyfriend attended that school and they lived in Sanford. They had a beautiful rental apartment overlooking Lake Monroe. I believe there is a lot for rent there. Nearby in Heathrow/Lake Mary there are some high end hotels you could contact. Going to the attractions area from there would be a trek.
