Please Help Me Identify A San Diego Location

I just booked the Holiday Inn on the Bay located at 1355 Harbor Drive. One of the photos on the hotel's site shows a picture of downtown San Diego from one of the hotel's balconies. It's nice to have a general idea of the what the area immediately around the hotel looks like, but I'd like to know definitively what I'm looking at. Looking at my San Diego map, I'm thinking it's the intersection of Pacific Highway and Ash Street. Am I right or wrong?

That's right. The hotel is right across the road from the Star of India, Anthony's Star of the Sea restaurant and next door to Ruth's Chris. It's just down a bit from the cruise ship terminal and the Midway museum and is esy walking distance to Seaport Village. In the other direction, it's not far from all the restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter, but I would take a taxi to get there. Balboa Park, the Zoo and museums are a short car or taxi ride away.

Thanks!

One of the primary reasons that I picked the hotel was the location. Also, I don't drive and most of the places that I want to visit are served by the hotel's shuttle or are a short trolley or taxi ride away.

I did request a bayview room in my reservation.

I've stayed there several times over the years on business trips - talk about turning a boring seminar into a vacation

Anyway, as the others say, you will really enjoy the location. There is a lot you can walk to w/o even taking a cab. and places like Gaslamp are a short cab ride so not that expensive.
