Has anyone visited this area? Can you recommend restaurants (no budget or special dietary needs)? The TA reviews of the park lodges are not very good. Can you recommend a lodging option? We are considering the Nostalgia Inn. If you know it can you give me your opinion of it? Did you bike in the area? If so, can you describe your experience?
Thank you.

Sounds like one of those places that when you are tired of looking at the scenery you can lean against it. Don't try to ride a bicycle over this type of mountains.

one last shot.............
We stay at Pipestem State park for a week every summer. It is a central meeting spot that we use for a family reunion. We go simply for the relaxation of the place. There is a great 18 hole golf course and a 9 hole par 3. There is a pretty nice restaurant almost right across from the part entrance (about a mile down) called the Oak. We have a special dinner there every year. There is also a B and B and a barbeque restaurant right across from the entrance, but we've never tried them.
We stay a week, and always arrange a one day "daytrip" for the whole crew....3 generations....within an hour's drive or so.
