We'll be flying into PHX - arriving @ 9pm. Need a motel for one night. Will check out after breakfast and nead north of Phoenix. So, really, just looking for a place to sleep. Found this Super 8 for a very reasonable price. My question -- is this a safe enough area? Not looking for luxury or even, most likely restaurants, etc. What do you think? Thanks for any all information.

Might be noisy since just off I-17, but it's an OK area for safety. I'd ask for a room facing opposite the freeway. Large mall about 1.5 miles to the north (Metrocenter).

Reviews for this particular Super 8 are terrible, I would keep looking.

We did a one-nighter at the Econo Lodge near the airport, it was fine...clean and renovated...courtyard motel but very busy, lots of rooms occupied so lots of other people around....area was dreary however just warehouses and auto body shops surrounding. Seemed like mostly people like us doing a one-nighter so it was quiet, everyone just trying to sleep. Pizza delivery was available but no other dining nearby. Easy, just a few turns from the airport.

The motel 6 in Scottsdale (camelback road) is fine.

I live across the street from this motel and I can assure you that you will be fine. Just be sure to stay away from the best western hotel across the freeway. They have a bed bug infestation.

And one last thing, there is a 24 hour Denny's right 1 block away.
