philly bed and breakfast suggestions

we are planning a 1 night stay in philly in july. have to go to a wedding and don't have much $$ to spend on lodging. i have narrowed it down to 3 bed and breakfasts. any opinions on any of these?

** alexander inn
** la reserve
** cornerstone

we'd like to be w/in 20 min. walk from the historic area. if there are any suggestions on any other lodging, please recommend.

I can't help with any of these B&Bs. Do you have addresses for each of them?

Is bidding on Priceline an option for you? You can probably win a 3 or 4* hotel in center city Philadelphia for $50-$60/night. Check out

I stayed in the Thomas Bond House for a good price (I think it was around $125 per night for one person). It is a B&B right on the edge of the historic area. I recommend it. It is a little loud outside there at night, but if that doesn't bother you it is a good deal.

Just came back and stayed in the Thomas Bond. Really liked it. Didn't have a problem with noise (street is very quiet) but I understand it can be noisy when the bars let out... I was there in the winter when it was too cold to hang about outside but several people have reported that on tripadvisor. Was a perfect location for sightseeing.

Alexander Inn is nice place - maybe 15 min walk to historic area - near lots of restaurants.

While not the most reasonable in price, the Rittenhouse B&B (http://www.rittenhousebb.com/) is an outstanding choice and an indulgence, and is on beautiful Rittenhouse Square, and is within walking distance from the historic area.
