Philadelphia Question
We will be staying at Le Meridien [1421 Arch St]. We are taking Megabus into Philadelphia and can either get off the bus at Market & 6th near Independence Hall OR near JFK Blvd and 30th street [30th St. Station stop is located on the NORTH side of John F. Kennedy Boulevard, near North 30th Street and the west entrance to the 30th Street Station. ]
Which stop will be easiest for us to get to our hotel? We will each have a 22" roller bag. Can we walk or is a taxi best way to get there[ this will be a Thursday about mid day]. Will there be a bus we can take to get us closer to hotel [Plash?]
Thanks~

Le Méridien is located two blocks north of Market Street and a half-block west of Broad Street. The very heart of Center City Philadelphia, City Hall, is at Broad and Market.
The 30th Street Station bus stop is located on the far side of the station, well west of the hotel, a block south and across the Schuylkill River. On the other hand, the 6th and Market stop is eight blocks east and two blocks south of the hotel, a relatively easy walk on a weekday afternoon.
The Phlash stops at 6th and Market, and at 16th and JFK Boulevard, a block-and-a-half west and one block south of the hotel. But I'm not sure this mode of transit is particularly suited for those with luggage.

Let me add (make clear?) that the Phlash is NOT a bus for riding with luggage. It's a get-on, get-off tour bus.
Both the #33 and #17 buses go from Sixth and Market to close to 14th and Arch, as these PDF show:

If it's not rush hour, a roller bag is do-able. But a nine block walk may actually be faster.
You will need $2 (cash ONLY) as you board the bus. Yes, there are vending machines for SEPTA tokens, but they are below ground in the subway stations.
