Tip # 3 of Three Tips for Happy Dog Roadtrips is.....
Residence Inn!
(familyroadtrippers.blogspot.com/2006/12/three-tips-for-road-tripping-with-dogs.html)
Nice rooms with breakfast included, though not for the dog.
Unless maybe you sneak him some bacon.
Or sausage.
But breakfast being included means that snoopy can wait in the room while you eat, rather than having to wait in the car while you go to a restaurant.

I, too, enjoy Residence Inn, but be sure to verify the pet charge! In May, I saw a $10 per night charge in Seattle. Next weekend, we are paying a flat $100 extra charge for our 3 night stay at the Residence Inn in Wayne, NJ. I hope the family weimaraner appreciates it!

Thanks to all. Choice seems to be high end ($100+ for me and up to $75 non refundable for the dog) or low end with nothing in between. Residence INN, which several people mentioned is in the $75+ for dog. I love the dog but that seems to me on a par with airline charges - dog's ticket to ride under the seat is often more expensive than mine to ride in it.
Anyway, anyone have a recommendation between Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Days Inn or Holiday Inn????
thanks
