Most of the NJ wineries are well south of Parsippany. Two which are west of Parsippany are www.foursisterswinery.com and www.brookhollowwinery.com . Both off route 80, about 30-40 minutes away.

Um, I used to work in Parsippany. It's a mass of office parks, not very attractive housing, strip malls and chain restaurants - with an incredible amount of traffic twice a day. I can't imagine many worse places for a girl's weekend.

Which is probably why they got a great rate on the hotel. I traveled there for business for years and when we DID stay over on a weekend there was always as wedding going on - sometimes two in the same hotel. Great business hotels - not much going on in the surrounding areas.

FYI going with 2 daughters (1 that just contacted me after 46 years as she was adopted). There is a church there that we love. We just want to sit by the pool or in our room and catch up on the years we missed together.A little wine is good for that.

We have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and we never heard any other noise, so it is perfect for our needs. We will be on the top floor so far away from the lobby noise.

And yes we got a great deal with some perks.

So thank you wrongfoot for your advice.

We live in relatively nearby Madison, NJ. Would you like some local restaurant recommendations?

sure, thank you. Nothing too fancy, this is going to be a gab fest weekend. We don't really consider it a weekend vacation.

My son wanted to come along but I had to point out it was for girls only

I have lived in Parsippany for many years.
Most of what has been said on this thread is true - but I like to think I live in a nice home in a very pleasant, suburban neighborhood.
Parsippany is located at the confluence of many highways, thus making it easily accessible to going just about anywhere. That is the biggest advantage to living there.

As for local restaurants (other than chains) there are 2 that I would recommend. Gourmet Cafe is a little Italian restaurant in a strip mall on Route 46 and Baldwin Road. It has wonderfully fresh food at reasonable prices. Since it's a BYOB, you can bring any bottles you have bought at the winery.

Another good place is Churasco Grill. This is Argentinian food - great fish and steaks - located on North Beverwyck Road. Also a BYOB.

Enjoy your weekend!!

We are traveling from Westchester Co.and Orange County in NY and from Brooklyn,NY. We have been to this hotel in Parsippany 3 times prior and liked the hotel. Not concerned with traffic, etc. Just in the three of us being together. Parsippany is easy to reach for all of us. Thanks for the restaurants.

You might also try Café Fiori, very pleasant Italian at 477 State Route 10 in Randolph, about a 20-minute drive away. Also a BYOB. 973-343-7447.
