Parking at Providence Airport

Please advise what is the best option for parking when flying out of Providence, RI? Thanks in advance.

I like parking at Thrifty Car Rental. It's easy - you don't have to "find" a parking spot...they park it for you. I have a medallion on my key chain that identifies me as a frequent parker. Points, as well as air miles, are awarded to frequent parkers and you can get work done on your car while you are away (it is a AAA approved car repair facility). The points get you all kinds of free stuff like detailing, oil changes, etc.
Shuttles run very frequently and, if you have the medallion, when you return your car is ready with the receipt and keys inside the car.

Pre-Flight:

Right across the street from the airport, very short wait for shuttles, and coupons available online

On airport, Garage C isn't too bad, and walking distance to the terminal.

We have always used Garage C for the convenience. There is a walkway to the terminal. Easy in - easy out. A little more expensive than the two previous options.

I was just browsing the RI posts and noticed your post. I'm usually on the Asia forum, so have been reading about your "spur of the moment" trip to Thailand this fall.

As for parking near TF Green, we always use http://www.airportvalet.com They have a convenient shuttle to the airport, which is about 2 minutes away, and they offer AAA discounts or coupons. They are very secure and reliable.

@tnnc - I wouldn't recommend Airport Valet at all. They're neither secure nor reliable in my experience. Once while parked there, their snowplow hit my car and damaged the bumper, tearing away my license plate. When I picked up my car, they didn't tell me about the damage at all. It wasn't until I noticed it the next day that they said "Oh, yeah - I guess the plow hit your car. Of course we'll pay for the damage" Gee - ya think? It took me 6 months of harassing them to get the damage fixed.

Unfortunately, I gave them a second chance and the 2nd time, it was worse! This time, they left my car unlocked (along with several others) and it was opened and robbed of everything of any kind of value. Again, I was not informed of this when I picked it up - I had to find the articles missing (which had all been out of sight or in the trunk) before I was told. Again, I was told I would be reimbursed. 6 months later, I haven't received a cent in reimbursement $1,800 in losses and have won a judgment in small claims court against them - but now, they're trying to get out of it by an appeal AFTER the judgment was entered! Luckily, I have the time and am ticked off enough to continue fighting for what they owe me, but I really think people should be aware of the kind of people who run this place. Secure and reliable are the LAST words I use to describe Airport Valet. I'll be parking at Preflight Parking or on-site at the airport from now on. The hassle I've had with Airport Valet has FAR outweighed the couple of bucks I saved.
