Just returned from 4 nights @ the Hotel Park City in PC.
HOTEL
The service was fantastic -- genuine, friendly, professional. We were upgraded to a one bedroom cottage on the 18th green. Kitchenette, two fireplaces, patio w/6-person jacuzzi. Just one full bath. Stone/wood beam/"neutral Western" decor.
The property is right on the main drag thru town, so there was street/traffic noise on the patio, but the location is fantastic for getting to historic Main Street quickly. Top notch service from housekeeping as well.
Ruth's Chris steakhouse in lobby (just had drinks there since we have Ruth's Chris @ home.)
Pool area nicely landscaped; Spa area a cramped afterthought (think it's carved out of parking garage?) but professional staff.

FOOD HIGHLIGHTS
(CHECK LOCAL PAPER FOR seasonal 2-for-1 SPECIALS! - Most Menus available on-line.)
Robert Redford is associated with these 1st two...
Zoom (Main Street) Great spot for lunch/dinner w/outside sunken deck just below street level. Inside black/white photographs. In old train depot. Food was better than good, but not amazing. Recommend.
Easy Street (Main Street) Same block/next to Zoom. Great spot for dinner (again, outside on sunken patio) with lanterns hanging above, live music & bean bag toss games out back for kids/anyone. Much pricier than Zoom. Good menu variety. Loved mussels!
Mustang (Main Street) Had been here before. Dinner. White tablecloths, art on walls. Great menu. Great Service. Steak Frites!
The Foundry (up the road @ Sundance) We love to eat outside! Again, out on patio next to stream. Cool place w/open kitchen inside. "Log Cabin" construction, farm implements on the wall. Sandwiches/salads/etc. Again, good but not super amazing. Recommend. (Robert Redford-associated, again...)
Nacho Mammas (strip mall in town) Had been here before. We like this place! None of our friends who live in town have been there. Southwestern murals painted on walls, good Southwestern food! I would go again.
Davonza's (1 block off Main Street) for pizza. Beer can collection-filled walls, CASUAL joint. Lots of locals. Decent pizza. Again, casual! Recommend.
TO DO
Love that Olympic Park! Tour is worth the $4. Museum is interesting & free. Who doesn't love the Olympics, right?! Watched ski jumpers land in swimming pool (summer training). Kids did ZIP LINES (x2) and Alpine Slide. Would recommend LONGER of the two ZIPs and perhaps NO SLIDE (better @ PC Mountain Resort). www.olyparks.com
Park City Mountain Resort - Didn't do ZIPLINE since Olympic was taller/faster/etc. Alpine Slide was faster/longer here. LOVED the "roller coaster" - best ride here. www.pcski.com
Drive over to Sundance! Beautiful Ride chair up -- hike to Stewart Falls, lunch @ The Foundry. Walk around -- be sure and see the Arts/Crafts Cabin/Shack, check concert schedule. Nice day. Other trails available. www.sundanceresort.com (again, Robert Redford.)
Deer Valley for hiking & lunch. Had horrible, horrible service @ Royal Street Cafe. Outside tables facing slopes. Standard salad/service/burger menu. Wouldn't return in summer.
Tennis @ Park City Racquet Club. Great pro staff!
Just a quick recap -- great town winter or summer!

thanks for suggestions---we are going in September---would you still to go deer valley and skip the royal street cage? or would not not recommend deer valley at all?
cathee,
I just had two friends visiting for the Arts Festival. One of the things we did was ride up the chairlift to the Royal Street Cafe for a late lunch. They do not take res and we waited about 25 min. even late at 2:30 p.m. Food was good like always at Deer Valley.
Nacho Mama's has closed as of this spring.
Sundance remains one of the most beautiful places on earth in my book. Food is good. Redford owns Zoom, but not Easy Street.
Have fun and be certain to visit the Olympic Park. Take the full tour so you can go up to the top of the ski jumps. Yikes!!!
i'm taking these suggestions with me---thanks
