Hello, I apologize in advance if this topic is covered elsewhere. I wasn't able to find anything when I did a search. Anyway, a group of 5 of us will be in Vegas first week of May - first time in Vegas for us! I wanted to make reservations at the Paris Buffet just to avoid standing in long lines...if that's even possible. Anywhere the Paris buffet is mentioned on their official website, a phone number is provided to arrange reservations. However, I just called and I was told they are unable to make any reservations. What's up with that? Can someone offer some insight who's recently been there?

The only way to bypass the line at a casino buffet is to get "comped" and be allowed to use the Casino Guest line. Otherwise, you'll need to stand in line with everyone else. Paris buffet is good! A table for 5 won't be a problem. They'd only need a reservation for a very large party. The lines move quite quickly, even at peak hours. Try to hit the buffet a few minutes before noon and the line will usually be a lot shorter!

I was there last month and I, too, was told that reservations were not possible. The lines on Friday and Saturday around 7 p.m. were very long (too long to wait, so we left). I'd advise getting there before 6 p.m. or after 9 p.m.

I haven't been to the Paris buffet, but the Bellagio probably has the best buffet in town especially the Champayne Brunch on weekends.

I've eaten at the top of the Eiffel Tower and the view is great but it was a little pricey. We were wishing we had spent the money on a Cirque de Soleil show.

Imperial Palace has a Chinese Restaurant (Ming??) that has really good food and a good price. IP is old but they have some very experienced wait staff. Have a great time! We are going later in the year for my husband's birthday.

I was under the impression they originally accepted reservations, but discontinued (or at least put on hold) the practice. Where did you see a number for buffet reservations on their website -- I must be missing it?

Paris buffet is very good. We were there in December, and dined early (around 5:30). Waits were much longer after 6, but still manageable.

They may still take reservations for large parties (I think 10 or more), but for an average size party, you have to wait in line with the rest of us.

Other posters' advice to eat a little earlier or later than normal is great. Even so, I've never waited longer than an hour to get into the buffet, and that was on the day after Christmas at 6:30 (great planning, huh?)

Don't miss the cheese and bread table and make sure to leave room for dessert!

I highly recommend the Paris breakfast buffet-it was outstanding and not much of a line...

Thank you all so much! I actually did find a posting from someone else that says they do a ticket system. So you can specify the hour you want to come back. There may still be a line that way, but probably not as bad. We will try the Paris buffet for breakfast. Can anyone suggest a good breakfast time for the buffets?

From December, my recollection is that they give you a chit with a time on it so you can return and get in the "seating" line as opposed to the "standby" line. We got in the standby line around 8:00 and finally got seated around 9:15. People who joined the standby line just after us didn't get in at all. So arrive early and get your ticket.

PS - it was good, not great, and IMO not really worth the cost or time. Probably saved money all in, though, as we were not at the tables while we were in line.

The standby/reserved seating line thing is something they do during busy holidays - it's not the typical way they seat. Usually, it's a first come, first serve basis only. We were also victims of the standby line and it was mighty frustrating when everyone with "reservations" just got to go in front of us.

So... Moral of the story is to call ahead and see if that's the system they're using before you show up to eat. If so, you can stop by anytime during the day and get your ticket for the time you want (that's what we were told- and bribing got us nowhere).

I was not as impressed with the food at Paris buffet as I was with Bellagio's. However, the Paris buffet is in a outdoors French village setting, which I found was neat. The buffet lines seemed long but did move pretty fast, though I wasn't there on a Friday or Saturday.

We had breakfast buffet there on a Saturday in November and the lines were long but moved very fast. I thought it ws very good. The price went up around 11:30 and they added a few things too it. WE went around 11:00 and had a early lunch/late breakfast.

we had breakfast there last september on a sunday morning. we arrived around 8:30 and were in by 9:15. no reservations. it was very, very good. we liked the bellagio better (though we went for dinner so it isn't a fair comparison) but it was definitely the 2nd best!
