Palms Place Las Vegas with kids... bad idea?

Jump to last reply Flag this topic

I have been trying to find the most for the least...

Booked a mystery 5* hotel on a booking website for $116 - turned out to be the Venetian (nice), but then when I went to book the pool cabana, I got sticker shock $300 per day (no fruit since its a week day, and if you drink beverages from the stocked fridge you pay a $25 restock fee).

This news set forth a search for price of hotel combined with price of cabana for a grand total that we can live with (keeping in mind that we like to stay in nice places).

Strongly considered Red Rock Casino ($100 plus tax per night (2 nights) and then $250 for cabana ... includes fruit and drinks).

Then came across a deal on the Palms Place website: $159 per nights and includes a cabana for the weekdays so I booked this so my total is under $350 making it less than any other choice I've considered.

Checked into Mandalay Bay, and rooms are affordable for 2 people but they charge an extra $40 per night if you include the kids (so many of the places do this... they aren't giving you a bigger room ... not sure why the big upcharge).

Anyway, would it be a mistake to stay at Palms Place with the kids (ages: 4 and 7)? It fits the bill for price and luxury, but would we feel out of place there?
