Paihi Bridge Kipahulu Maui
Updated info:
Maui County newsletter: a blessing of the temporary Paihi bridge is set for Friday, December 1. The temporary bridge will become fully open and operational immediately after the blessing.
http://www.mauicounty.gov/files/jour..._vfyrjcwac.pdf
Another article from November 29 that says the opening is set for today. But, I couldn't find anything on their site for today that confirms the temporary bridge is open.

Anyone have additional info?
Any news about Seven Pools area also reopening?
Or the highway that goes around the south end?

Loved that letter heretoday. Thanks for sharing. Any word on Island Air's status. I have flights out of Honolulu to Molokai and Lanai in Jan. Haven't heard from them, just heard rumours on the forums. I'll check in with them later this week, but was cureous on any local info.
I still don't understand why they don't keep the bridge closed. We all know that the road makes you carsick, all the turns and single lane bridges are horrid, and there is absolutely nothing to see in Hana. Why anyone would leave Lahaina and waste there day running to the seven unsacred pools is beyond me. Boring! Why get carsick when you can get seasick visiting Molokini~
Good times indeed. Oh how I miss that town. But I am sure the spirit of Molokai and Lanai will tide me over until my doomed return to"we drove all that way, and there was nothin' there land!"
Hugs, gyppielou

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Why would anyone drive all the way over to Hana for rain, moo, rain, moo, rain when one could stay at your pool lounger at the FS and get spritzed? That's my idea of rain! And if one really wanted to hear that dreaded mooing, I'm sure the pool attendants would moo softly as they spritzed if you tipped enough.
