Paid $4 /gal for gas today

I definitely predict $5 by Labor Day - but now I would not be surprised to see it go to $6. This is happening so fast.

And, yes, this affects the price of all goods we purchase - even though technically this is not inflation....as I understand it...but it goes against common sense to call it something else.

OMG are you in the bay area or is this for premium gas? Ugh I don't even want to think about how expensive gas can get this summer.

I think it's ridiculous - there are so many viable alternatives out there but no one seems to do anything to get anything else up and running to replace gasoline. Probably because we wouldn't want to harm all those rich oil guys ... It's amazing how much gas prices have gone up - with no end in sight.

I paid $3.47 for regular yesterday in San Diego-and that's one of the cheaper prices in San Diego.

I was listening to a discussion about electric cars on the radio today. They wouldn't work for me, but here's the link:

Ok - anyone travelling to Big Sur or Yosemite - BUY GAS AHEAD OF TIME, NOT IN BIG SUR OR NEAR YOSEMITE.

Last summer we saw $5 gas in Big Sur when $3 was still somewhat of a shocker in the rest of the state and the summer before we saw $3 gas in Yosemite when it was still much less than that everywhere else (except probably Big Sur). I can only guess at what is being charged in those areas now!

It's been steady at $2.859 here in the valley for while, but the Citgo station in Woodstock is out of regular and 89 octane today.

Yep, but its turning into another political bashing thread that will eventually be pulled. Again.

We're driving to Santa Fe and wondering what the price will be at Clines Corners, NM. Its always so much higher than Santa Fe or environs.
