Hi
I would like some help planning a trip to explore the pacific beaches of Washington.
We are in our mid 50’s and beaches are our passion. We have been to most of the beaches of California and Oregon and have our eyes on Washington.
Any local knowledge is welcome especially about sights to see, places to stay, back road adventures (dirt roads do not bother us, we have high clearance truck) and locations of beaches with agates and jasper. We usually rent cabins with ocean views. We have used vrbo in the past. We would be leaving Eureka at noon July 1st. I have done a lot of homework already but have not made any reservations.
Day one Eureka to Eugene
Day Two Eugene to Gray’s Harbors area rent a cabin in Copalis Beach?
Day Three Gray’s Harbors area explore beaches
Day Four Gray’s Harbors area Check out Quinault Area
Day Five Gray’s Harbors to La Push explore beaches between South and Ruby get a cabin in La Push at the beach
Day Six La Push area at the beach
Day Seven La Push area at the beach
Day Eight La Push to Port Angeles area check out Hoh Rainforest Rent Cabin in Port Angeles area.
Day Nine Port Angeles area explore beaches trip to Cape Flattery and back

TOPPING
First Beach (in the town of La Push) and nearby Rialto Beach both give excellent views of off-shore monoliths. First Beach is sandy whereas Rialto Beach is rocky and strewn with logs. From Rialto Beach we like to take the Hole-in-the-wall hike, which is three miles round trip and no elevation gain.
Ruby Beach is also beautiful but the huge driftwood trees are not well managed as they are on Rialto Beach.
