Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach
I have a reservation for an Oceanfront Room at the Outrigger Waikiki on the beach. I have read many good comments on this hotel. As we are celebrating a special occasion I decided to reserve an Oceanfront instead of hoping for an upgrade that might not happen. I requested on my reservation a view of Diamondhead.
The rooms and the view are supposed to be real nice.
Any comments or additional info I can use??

If you have reserved an ocean front room you can go on your balcony to see Diamond Head to the left. The rooms with partial ocean view on the side of the hotel, have views of other hotel balconies across the way. Stay with your oceanfront and hope to get a high floor, where there is less noise. 8-)

I agree with pianogirl - go to Duke's while you're there - have a panini (yummy drink!) for me! Also - if you get a chance to see the Society of Seven in the hotel showroom - do it - they're very good and very talented.
Another thing that's great fun to do - and relaxing at the same time - is to walk over to the Sheraton Moana Surfrider and have a seat in one of the white rocking chairs on the front lanai - good place for people watching -and there'll be plenty of people to watch.

We stayed at this hotel for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon last summer, and loved it! We are returning this summer and staying 5 nights. It is newly renovated, and the rooms are fairly spacious and very nice. The service could not have been any friendlier.
We had reserved a City View, and were upgraded for free to an Ocean View. This time, we reserved a Partial Ocean View, and are hoping for an upgrade again. Our view last summer was spectacular, there was nothing better than sitting on the lanai, watching the surfers and the catamarans come and go.
Definitely eat at Duke's -- they have a great bar menu, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. And you can't beat the setting. Enjoy
