Outrigger reef

We are going to Oahu next month for the 1st time and staying at the Outrigger Reef, any input? We also have rented a car, is there anywhere to park around there with out paying $11/day valet?

There is a public parking lot very close to the Outrigger Reef, on Saratoga Avenue, next to the Post Office. I think they charge $3.00 to park there. However, I think it costs three bucks everytime you go in and out of the place.

It can really be confusing since Outrigger has so many hotels! Outrigger Reef was our second choice this time. We chose Outrigger Waikiki Beach instead. The Outrigger Reef is down the beach a ways away from the action. Since we had heard mixed reviews on the Shorebird we also decided to opt for OWB.

We have stayed there twice, great hotel. If you like Italian food, there's a great restaurant across the street from the hotel. I can't remember the name right now.

Have a great trip.

Lyn: Could that be Trattoria? We almost went for the Italian food fix!
Tom:We had a great dinner at Keo's. The food is prepared well and the flowers, art, torches and lights with a view of the nightlights outside are a nice touch. There is a cement pathway that leads on the beach and on down to any beach hotel places to eat. Our daughter ate at Bali by the Sea(Hilton). She couldn't get over the chocolate volcanoe dessert (with truffles inside!)Have fun!

Gail, it is the Trattoria Restaurant. Also, a must see is the Society of Seven Show at one of the Outriggers.
