There is a special on an Outrigger Hotel in Waikiki for about $65 a night over the Chrismas season. I beleve it is at the Outrigger Shore or Outrigger Surf Hotel. Does anyone know anything about this hotel? Is this price too low for a decnt place to stay?

The name of the hotel is Waikiki Surf - it isa part of the Outrigger Chain. If anyone has stayed there, what is it like?
Been to the Outriggers, including the Waikiki Surf many times as a visitor, never stayed in them.
$65 is a terrific bargain rate for any of the Outrigger chain hotels. Some are not on or really close to the water, but all are decent to above average.
If this is the one on the beach, grab it. Very nice public areas and food places, but no need to eat in the hotel because so close to everything on Waikiki.
Check map of Waikiki -- as much as 3 blocks off the beach is no problem. Diamond Head end of Waikiki is preferable for beachgoers, but the harbor end is nice too. Easy to get around by shuttle buses (wiki-wiki).
