Thanks.

It's a message board devoted solely to the Outer Banks. Not as much traffic but you'll probably get more responses.
We had great food at
The Blue Point Grill in Duck , Colington Cafe in Kill Devil Hills and in Mateo (Roanoke Isl.) is a Tranquil House Inn on the waterfront with a fabulous restaurant (name ?)!
I checked website www.outerbanks.org before our trip and ordered their Outer Banks Travel Guide. It has lots of info.
Have a good time !
Hi,error on previous 'page': the name of town is MANTEO. The name of restaurant in Tranquil House Inn is " 1587". They have a website www.1587.com
There's much to see and do in OBX , besides the sea, sun and sand. One thing you should definately do is drive down through the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and catch the ferry to Ocracoke. Enjoy !
I second the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. I found most of towns (Duck, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills) to be too commerical. One suggest is to find a map and visit as many lighthouses has you can. We also visited the Elizabethan Gardens (near the Lost Colony) and though the gardens were not large, we had a good time. The Wright Brother's Memorial was OK but mostly for the "I've been there" value.
