Orlando Questions: Sea World and Water Parks
Here are my two questions:
1. Has anyone ever done the day long behind-the-scene tour at Sea World? Was it worth the extra money?
2. Which water park in Orlando is your favorite?
Thanks for any comments/suggestions.

My favorite water park in Orlando is Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Diversity of attractions -- something for everyone. High speed adventure, relaxing pool and "lazy river." Shark Reef is awesome. Great tropical feeling, very appropriate for Florida!

I don't know which is bigger. In the winter, Disney will only have one waterpark open at a time. Blizzard Beach will be open 1/2 the winter and receive refurbishments the other half of the winter. It works the same way at Typhoon Lagoon.
Typhoon Lagoon has a new "Watercoaster" called Crush N Gusher that is a lot of fun.
"This looks nothing like typical water parks that have slides with exposed superstructures and wave pools that look like giant concrete tubs. It may not have the most, fastest or highest slides, but it does have the largest surf pool, a 2.5 acre lagoon with waves up to six feet high that sits at the base of a 100 foot high manmade watershed mountain and is surrounded by a sandy beach and a lush tropical forest." Blizzard Beach has more slides and faster slides. See http://www.allearsnet.com/btp/bb.htm

I haven't been to Discovery Cove -- although it looks cool, it's $279 for the all-inclusive ticket with the dolphin swim. Yikes!!
My favorite park was Blizzard Beach -- the slides are fun and there's plenty to do. I liked Typhoon Lagoon, but because it's so tropical and shaded, there were lots of leaves in the water. It's funny...I'll swim in ANY body of water but for some reason, leaves in pool water eeks me out!
