This past Mon. we drove to Ashland, Oregon and stayed at a cool Bed and Breakfast called Country Willows. It is located out in the countryside of Ashland in a quiet, tranquil setting. We stayed in the main house there, we were the only guests. The Willow Room was very pretty with a King sized bed, beautiful marble bath and access to the front porch area, it is located upstairs. Our Innkeeper Daniel was very hospitable and friendly. Breakfast was in the charming breakfast room, Black Cherry Juice, homemade Asparagus Omelettes, fresh fruit, sausage and whole wheat toast with housemade Black Cherry jam. Dinner in Ashland was at Liquid Assets Wine Bar where there were musicians playing when we arrived. A Warm, Goat Cheese Salad and Duck Entree went nicely with our flight of red wine.
We then drove up to Willamette Valley Vineyards where we enjoyed the reserve and the regular tasting out on the terrace with wine and cheese that we purchased at the winery. The sun was shining and it was beautiful there, we joined the wine club here! Then it was off to Le Pigeon in Portland where we enjoyed a wonderful meal at the bar. Raddachio salad and Beef Bourginon were enjoyed as we watched the chefs cook. Then.... over to Seaside on the beautiful Oregon Coast where we are settling in for awhile. The sun is shining, it is crystal clear and we are off to walk the beach!! ***kim***

Glad you are having a great time visiting Oregon.
I came over the Cascades past Crater Lake and got as far as Eagle Point yesterday. After passing all that snow, I was glad to see some Robins and even a skunk.
If you have any interest in skiing, come over to Bend and try out Mt. Bachelor.
Glad you enjoyed Ashland, we stayed at Maxfields Vacation home
http://maxfieldsplace.com and went and heard live music at the Avalon in Talent on Saturday. Then Sunday drove into the Applegate Valley for wine tasting. My friends from Santa Barbara were amazed that the wineries do not charge a tasting fee. Mayabe your next trip, you may want to check the Avalon or Applegate wineries out.
