Jump to last reply

Planning a trip for September:

Day 1: Arrive Portland, drive to Hood River (stay: Columbia Gorge Hotel)
Day 2: Rafting White Salmon River / local wineries in afternoon
Day 3 Day trip to Pendleton Round-up & rodeo
Day 4: Columbia River Gorge drive / hiking near Mt. Hood (stay: Timberline Lodge)
Day 5: Mt. Hood to Bend -- cycle pub / explore Bend (stay: Lara House Lodge)
Day 6: Mountain biking at Bend / drive to Crater Lake (stay: Crater Lake Lodge)
Day 7: Crater Lake hike / boat to Wizard Island
Day 8: Drive to Ashland / Shakespeare performance (stay: Peerless Hotel)
Day 9: Upper Klamath River Rafting / Shakespeare
Day 10: Rogue River drive to Gold Beach w/ winery and creamery stops (stay: TuTuTun Lodge)
Day 11: Jet boat on Rogue River
Day 12: Coastal drive to Newport (stay: Sylvia Beach Hotel)
Day 13: Willamette Valley drive / winery visits / dinner in Portland (stay: The Nines Hotel)
Day 14: Explore Portland
Day 15: Depart

We've got hotels lined up at each location but can still tweak the itinerary if something is amiss. If we had an extra day we'd probably spend it in the Willamette Valley, but this was as much time as we could take ...

Recommendations for food / wineries / breweries and brewpubs most appreciated.
