ORD to the corner of Michgan Ave @ Chicago Ave.
What is the best way to get there???
How much will it cost.
I arrive at 3pm Tuesday.
I always took a cab but I am looking for alternates that may save a buck
Thanks!

You can take a train into the city:
http://tripsweb.rtachicago.com/
You can select "O'hare Airport" from the list of attactions/landmarks for your start point. I put "Michigan Ave and Chicago Ave" into the top box of the End point and did a search.
Would be a train and a bus. But you might just get a cab, after the train, once in the city to get to your destination.

I did that and figured there had to be a closer stop... thought maybe I was doing something wrong. Or HOPING I was doing something wrong.
How much is a cab running from ORD to this location these days?

It will be expensive. Probably $50+.
Take the Blue line train to Chicago Ave station and transfer to a bus heading east on Chicago Ave. It will drop you off right on the corner of Michigan and Chicago. Total cost about $2-3.

From the Blue line train stop at Chicago and Grand?
It's a walk and a half.....
Probably 2-3 miles.
About 10-15 minutes by bus
You don't want to walk, but it really is an easy connection between the train and bus. The only possible problem is the climb from the underground train to the street level, but if you don't have much luggage then it's really not a big deal. Just guessing, but about 20-30 steps.

You might consider what is a bit easier for L to cab to your address. Take the L to the Lake Street station. Take a cab from there. It might seem like you have gone past Chicago Avenue, but you are so far West on Chicago Avenue that it makes sense to go on the one or two more stops to the Loop. Also it is very easy to get a cab at Lake Street Station. It's right in the Loop and cabs can be simply hailed on the street. It can't be more than a $6 or $8 ride from there.

Another option would be to take the Blue Line to Jackson and transfer to the Red Line toward Howard. Exit the Red Line at Chicago, and Michigan is 3 blocks east. The Chicago stop on the Red Line has elevators.
