We just moved from Upstate NY to Alabama and would like to take advantage of our location by planning a trip to Orange Beach. All I know is that the water is fine now and the sand is white as sugar.
I've been to vrbo.com and looked at rentals. What I need to know is everything there is to know about Orange Beach, in general. We are traveling with 2 boys, ages 2 & 3, would like to stay on the beach, and I don't know where to focus, West, East, Central?
I just don't know anything about the area, and need a breakdown of it all!
We vacation on Hilton Head Island every April and love it.
Thank you!

You can't tell when you leave GS and get to OB. GS is on the W side and OB is on the E side. Leave OB and you go to Pensacola. There's not much difference in either. There are great restaurants and hotels in both areas. I prefer OB because my wife like the hotels and restaurants there. Go to Cobalt and Cosmo's for good food in OB. Good luck.
