Columbus Day weekend has one of my favorite NYC events. Open House New York. This weekend is largely run by volunteers and we need lots of them. They just put out the call today so I am sharing. Your volunteer button will get you to the head of the line at other sites when you are not working. If you have the bucks to buy a passport, that will get you to the head of the line at any site but will give you no priority on tours that require advance sign up.
