We are camping in Smoky Mountain National Park this weekend. Then on Monday, while my husband hikes up Mount LeConte to stay at the LeConte Lodge, I will be staying one night in Gatlinburg with our 5 yr old son. Any suggestions on what to do, see & eat? I was thinking about the Aquarium. Is there anything else that might appeal to a 5 yr old? I do not want to go to Dollywood since I live in Florida and go to Busch Gardens, Disney World, & Universal Studios too often.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Hi there is lots of things to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Thre is alot of putt putt golf places, go kart tracks, Ober Gatlinburg has a nice set up for younger children. As far as restaurants in Gatlinburg we like No Way Joses Mexican, Howards Steakhouse, Best Italian,Calhouns,Smoky Mountain Brewery. If you stay in a hotel on the strip in Gatlinburg then you can walk to everything. But Pigeon Forge is bigger and more spread out and you pretty much have to drive to everything. Heres some good websites on the area. We are leaving on Friday April 13 and staying 10 days. Im excited and can't wait. I love the mountains.

Forgot to tell you that the Aqurium is very nice and there is also Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge that kids really like.
Thanks, Gatlinburglover! I will definitely check the websites you mention out. Have a good trip!
