You don't say from which direction you are coming. Suggest you check the web site of Sedona, AZ -- sedonachamber.com
Just outside the entrance to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the village of Tusayan. Suggest you see the magnificent one-hour IMAX theater presentation of the discovery and exploration of the canyon, the Indians, going through the canyon in a helicopter, by boat, by rubber raft. It is breathtaking. Drive from Grand Canyon Village east on #64 to Desert View, see the stone tower, and look down to where the Little Colorado joins the Colorado itself. If you are coming from Las Vegas, you cross Hoover Dam and at Kingman pick up I-40 East. Turn north at Williams, 55 miles to GC.
