Olde Pink House
Hello
Is one hour too little for a lunch here?
Thanksgiving Day I'm flying out of SAV at 224 PM which means I should be at the airport at 130. OPH opens at noon on Thanksgiving Day. I have rez at noon. Am I pushing my luck? I would have to be walking to my parked rental car at 1 PM to drive to the airport.
Unclear if this is slow dining with lots of courses or if an hour (solo) is probably fine.

It's pushing it. On a busy day like Thanksgiving? I'm not so sure you'd enjoy it. The main problem would be if they were late in seating you. One idea would be to get there early - maybe 11:30 - and ask if they can seat you early. That's a good possibility, especially since you are solo. There's a parking garage at the corner if you have trouble finding street parking.
An hour to eat could work, especially if you are flexible and ask the server which items would be fastest. I'm not sure if they are doing a prix fixe meal that day. I love the entrees at the PH, but I really love their appetizers. I usually order 3 apps - 1 as an app and 2 served together as an entree. That might speed things up. Anyway, your server could help you. If you can push it make to 11:3 - even if they won't give you an 11:30 reservation - you would have a much more enjoyable and relaxing meal.

The airport is 15 minutes away so you will have to leave no later than 12:45 to keep your schedule. That is too close for my comfort.
Solution: You will just have to come back and spend more time in Savannah.

Hi everyone
I did cancel it. I might even just have a snack close to home before the plane ride and not even bother with heading back into Savannah again Thurs.
I was there Sunday, and will be there again shortly. I have a walking tour with Dirk of Savannah Rambles at 130 today.
Yesterday I spent in Charleston. I ate at Husk! Locally sourced and Sean Brock (chef) is a James Beard award winner - excellent. I called FIG and they don't have lunch hours but reco'd Husk.
I am quite enjoying my "staycation" I have to say. It's been warm and sunny. I haven't even been to the beach yet (oops) but might go this afternoon after my Dirk walk.
Staycation part one: HHI and environs.
Staycation part two: back to DC and will hit up some exhibits I haven't had a chance to see yet.

I think that's a good call. If you want to venture in, call to see what time the tavern downstairs opens. If it's early enough you could stop in there and have an appetizer or two from upstairs - and low/no stress.
Enjoy your tour today with Dirk. I hope you enjoy your tour with him as much as I have.
