Old Key West v Beach Club - Disney

my husband and I are traveling to disney with our toddler (almost 2 years old) the first weekend in October. We have been to Disney several times, but having issues booking this time around. I need some input, please!

Can't decide - what is more important? Having a separate bdrm? Staying at Beach club with fab pool area? What would you do/suggest?

We are contemplating a 1 bdrm suite at Old Key West or a Standard room at the Beach Club (total cost difference about $150). We will be going to the parks 2 of the days (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom with possible stop-offs at Epcot for food, etc) and plan to spend the other 2 days on the resort or downtown Disney/boardwalk.

Any input would be great. Thanks!

My preference was always the separate sleeping area. That way my kids could nap, sleep in, and go to bed early while we could follow our own schedules. A two year old won't fully enjoy a fab pool. My kids were just as happy with a hose and a bucket.

thanks for the reply. we had to change the weekend, so we are staying at the Yacht Club. I decided since we are going for such a short period of time (and will be without a car) that location was the top priority.

I think you made a good choice. I was going to recommend you stay in the EPCOT resort area, as the location is nearly perfect.

Have fun!

thanks! We are paying a high price for our room even with the AAA discount. Thanks to this forum, I have been visiting a discussion board that releases discount rate codes...so, hoping we can get a further discount on our room. It will be a pricey trip, but fun!
