Not sure about the availability of suites, but the closest hotels will be the Crown Plaza, about 1 block away from courthouse, the Downtown Doubletree, 6-7 blocks away, and the Mayo Hotel, a newly renovated historic hotel, a 2-3 block walk. None of these are cheap. Otherwise, any hotel along I244 or Hwy 51 will give direct access to downtown, however be aware the highway loop around the downtown area is partially shut down due to construction and getting into and out of the area is pretty confusing, even for people who live here!
Interesting things to do include the Gilcrease and Philbrook art museums, Utica Square for shopping, Brookside area shops and dining, Jenks Aquarium, Tulsa Air and Space Museum, Downtown area for viewing Art Deco architecture. Late October will be good Fall Foliage viewing particularly the area south of Downtown called Maplewood, and if you are in town Oct 22-25 one of the largest Oktoberfest in the country is held on the west bank of the Arkansas river.

Thank you for the information. As for the shopping experience is there a section of town that has little knick knack shops, not your typical chain stores? Are there nice hotels in Maplewood? How far is Maplewood from downtown and Tulsa airport?

There are no hotels in Maplewood. It is residential neighborhood that I was suggesting as an interesting tour due to the old trees and architecture. For shopping, Cherry Street, Brookside and Utica Square all have unique non-chain type stores. Cherry Street leans toward antiques, Brookside and Utica Square towards gift or clothing stores. For hotels, there is a group close to the airport with a wide choice of brands. That is 5-6 miles from downtown all by interstate. There is another group at the intersection of I-44 and Hwy 51 which will be further from the airport but about the same distance from downtown, again by interstate. Anything with the word "South" won't be close to either downtown or the airport.

Even if you are not museum people, I would recommend the Gilgrease Museum. As I recall, it was a free museum and had great paintings. We were the first ones in that day and a docent showed us around for about an hour,
