First we went to OKC, visited the OKC Memorial. Wonderful tribute, eerily quiet in the middle of downtown. The museum was incredible - very in-depth. Ate at Cattleman's in Stockyard City - great steaks in a relaxed atmosphere. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Northwest - I will not stay there again. Very unclean, very hard beds, poorly kept.
Next day, drove to Wilburton, OK (south of Tulsa about 1.5 hours). Adelita's mexican restaurant was wonderful. Stayed at the Windsong Inn B&B, which had great views of the valley. Very quiet and relaxing. The owner was very nice and friendly, even brought us a glass of wine that evening!

Then, on to Tulsa. Stayed at the Fairfield Inn on 71st just east of Memorial. Great access - near lots of stores/restaurants/Woodland Hills Mall. Very clean, friendly staff. Afternoon snacks were good, but the free continental breakfast was mediocre. Ate at Macaroni Grill on Memorial - it was okay. Carrabba's on South Yale was much better. Planned to do the aquarium in Jenks, but ran out of time - hopefully next trip!
Hi beckers, glad you enjoyed your trip overall. Where were you visiting from? Did you get to go to Robbers' Cave while in Wilburton? It's one of my favorite places and no one would ever guess Oklahoma has places like that.
No, unfortunately, we didn't make it to Robber's Cave. I was on a business trip and tried to squeeze in as much as possible, there is just so much! I have heard from several other people that Robber's Cave is a neat place to see, and hopefully I will see it next time I am in the area. I also missed out on all the yummy Italian food at Krebs, so I hope to catch that next time too. I am from southwest MO.
