Beth:
Be sure to visit Nebraska City (about 1/2 hour from Lincoln) where you will find Arbor State Park and Arbor Lodge, home of J Sterling Morton (Morton's Salt) and the founder of Arbor Day.
Since I am not from Lincoln, I don't know what there is to do in that city, but if you are willing to drive 45min north to Omaha I can give you some other ideas.
Have fun

Beth,
I know the Stage Coach has been there for a long time...don't know much about it, though. Ogallala has a fairly new Holiday Inn Express--I would be more likely to recommend that. You didn't mention when you were going to Ogallala. It sits a few miles away from Lake McConaughy, a 20 mile long lake/state recreation area--in the summertime, Ogallala really comes alive because of the lake. They have a good steakhouse--think it's called Pioneer Trails Steakhouse. About Lincoln--what a neat place (we used to live there). Feel free to email me and let me know what your tourism interests are and I'll be glad to recommend some things to do.
I live in Lincoln and keep my ear to the ground...what kind of things are you interested in? if you're here on the weekend just wander around downtown, lots of bars, theaters, people out wandering around...pretty lively for a small town.
