NYC Hotel Reservations
I made non-refundable reservations at my hotel three or four months ago so I could lock in the lowest rate. I noticed last week that the rates have gone down substantially since then, $124/night less. Not only are the rates lower overall, there is now a 15% discount for three nights or more and we qualify.
Would it be reasonable to ask the hotel to offer me the current lower rate? We arrive Oct. 21.
I realize that others may make early reservations for other reasons such as insuring availability, but my reason was as stated and I only do it when I go to NYC because a lower rate is offered if one makes the reservations early and pays in advance.
What do you think?

Nope. DH says he will speak to the manager when we are there. Live and learn. I will never make a non-refundable reservation again. I don't know why anyone would make an Oct rez in June and pay in advance unless it was for a lower rate?
