NYC- fun and cool ideas
Traveling to the Big Apple this weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday - we are in our late 30s. Looking for itinerary ideas- places to work out( CrossFit for him, yoga studio for me), cool tours (walking or bike and preferably free or low charge) spa's and any off the beaten path spots worth a visit . We are staying in Hells kitchen area in a boutique hotel. Well hit all the tourist spots and a show Friday or Saturday night. Open to all ideas so spill your heart out. Please help me make this a fun action packed weekend!

Free Tours by Foot may be what you're looking for. They have a variety of tip-based tours. http://www.freetoursbyfoot.com/new-york-tours/
Also check out tours offered by the Central Park Conservancy here: http://www.centralparknyc.org/tours/...ww.google.com/
And if you haven't heard of Atlas Obscura, they list a number of lesser-known sites that might interest you. http://www.atlasobscura.com/things-to-do/new-york

Have you been to NYC?
If not, I think the obvious tourist stuff will keep you plenty busy. Central Park can occupy a whole day, it's that big- I've been to smaller state parks! My favorite thing in NYC was the Egyptian exhibit at the Met. A bit more off the beaten path is the smithsonian Cooper Hewitt Design Museum- it's very interactive and a lot of fun if you are at all into design or art or social issues.

A couple more suggestions - check out The Skint https://theskint.com/ and sign up for Groupon for NYC. They're currently running a special for a natural foods store with a deli - might be good for a lunch.
