NYC -- Asian restaurant for lunch tomorrow near Big Fish
So tomorrow about noon we'll be checking into the Hyatt at 48th and Lexington. Then immediately walking to the Neil Simon on 51st between Broadway and 8th for a matinee of Big Fish.
We were all set to have lunch at Natsumi, a nice little Japanese place for Bento Box or sushi, but just discovered they're closed for lunch on Saturday. What's along our path or very near the theatre -- sushi, Japanese, or Thai all sound good. Something with nice atmosphere too, not just a counter type place. I think I'm spoiled with some of my favorites along 9th, but really don't want to go that far. And not sure how much time we'll have.
I found Broadway Thai @Tom and Toon, which looks nice and sounds nice on the website, but the reviews are more negative than mixed it seems. It's right by the theatre -- any comments?

I don't have a restaurant recommendation, Patrick, but I did want to let you know that the Neil Simon Theater is on 52nd, not 51st. (Hey, I don't want you to walk down the wrong street and be late for show!)

Rhea, those meat dishes look great, but since we're doing steak house tonight, I think we'll save this lace for another time. But thanks.
If we have time we may just head to Room Service on Ninth which is hard to beat.

Just a follow up. We made the drive in an hour and a half from our door to the hotel on the East side, record time! Had lots of time to walk to Ninth and enjoyed our excellent lunch at Room Service. Sometimes it's best to stick to what you know.

For next time, this is a fairly new branch of a west side Chinese tea house that is now a full-fledged restaurant on East 50th Street between 2nd and 3rd.
Neighborhood reports on food are pretty good and it certainly looks serene. Open daily. I will check it out when I pass by..
