NYC and Phantom tickets

My husband and I would like to take our 14 yr. old son to see Phantom of Opera on B'way Wed. afternoon Aug. 6th--- anyone know where and how we might get 3 tickets for $50 each? Should we wait in line the day of the performance? I would like to get them ahead of time if possible.

Should easily be able to get reduced price tickets off of www.playbill.com. Just sign up for the free membership. I just received something in the last day or two regarding Phantom. Actually, I think they had back mezzanine tickets for $17.76 over the 4th holiday. But reduced price tickets should be available for later this summer too.

There is no Phantom offer on the Playbill website currently. Right now, I don't believe there are any offers for $50. And, there's no guarantee that they'd be available for a Wednesday matinee at TKTS. However, if you can change your plans and go on Tuesday night, you will have a better chance of getting the half-price tickets for that performance.

Actually, the offer 4khansen is referring to is on Playbill, as of today. Orchestra and front mezzanine seats are $45; rear mezzanine $17.76. Fantastic deal!

The special offer djdave mentions is only good through July 4th weekend, a notoriously slow time for the theater in NY.
You'll have to wait until at least early July for any special offers for August.
