Not pricey but good dining near Encore in Las Vegas?
Hi all - my wife and I are heading to Vegas this weekend. Although we splurged a bit by staying at the Wynn Encore - we can't afford to eat in pricey restaurants all weekend for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. Any quality and fun dining ideas near the Encore that won't break our wallet? Or on/off the strip that may be a short cab ride away? Thanks in advance!

There are some affordable places across the street at the fashion show mall. Maggiano's is a pretty good family style Italian place. There is also a Spanish tapas place there that I think is reasonable. Another recommendation would be Grand Lux Cafe (one in Palazzo and one in Venetian). They have a menu with a lot of variety, big portions, and pretty reasonable prices (they are a "upscale Cheescake factory").
If you staying at encore make sure you take advantage of a great deal they have going on right now: http://www.vegashotelspecial.com/ind...pecial/encore/
You can probably cancel your existing reservations and book at the better rate.

A couple of our favorite cheap spots are Ellis Island Casino on Koval - they have a great prime rib dinner for cheap and keep an eye out for a 2 for one or 50% off coupon. We also like the Bougainvillea Cafe at Terrible's on Flamingo - their half rotis chicken with all the fixin's for $6.99.
